My hard working angels............
/They are present and I thank the powers that be for them everyday. Sometimes they are here to protect and sometimes I do believe they teach me much needed lessons. Thankfully I have the ability to see the learning that must come from a not so awesome situation.
An example of this is the other day I was riding my bike, through San Juan, Puerto Rico. It felt like I was flying! I had manifested this dream of mine, to move to "La Isla de Encanto" and here I was ripping through traffic. I have always enjoyed the video game that riding through traffic is. Having been a bike courier for 8 years, along with using my bike as primary mode of transportation, I have definitely cultivated the love, for the video game.
So, I was doin my thing but ultimately, I don't know this place like I know Minneapolis. I had been here at this point for 5 days. So after a nice day of weaving though congestion that San Juan has to offer I decided to head home. My new home sits at the midway point of a big hill. I was gettin it, at least 25mph hour down a hill, my lil victory lap so to speak. When all of a sudden one of the grates that sits across these hilly streets so water can be diverted into the drains, rather than going all the way down the hill causing flood........got ahold of my front tire. Everything slowed down n I really was flying! I landed on my hips n shoulders, luckily not my head. It pretty much sucked, it was raining, I was bleeding, and immediately humbled. Long story short, I needed that. Sometimes I need to check myself and sometimes...... I need to be checked.
