Having Danielle as a yoga instructor has been a blessing in my life. At age 62 with rheumatoid arthritis keeping flexible has been an important goal for me. The past 15 years I have resisted taking medication and relied on keeping physical to combat getting old and slow. I can’t do much about the “old” part, but having a yoga routine twice a week has been a Godsend.
It’s great how some of the poses can be practical applications for doing odd jobs around the house. Lunging and balance come in handy for having one foot on the ladder and then stepping out onto a solid surface. High plank to low plank is good for upper body strength. My wife thinks I’m hot. I think that is what she said? The larger the body joint the more arthritis stiffness affects me. The half pigeon is absolutely great for keeping my hip joints loose.
At age 60 Danielle encouraged and coached me into doing a headstand. It is a great parlor trick. For example, “If you stuff that entire cream puff in your mouth, I’ll stand on my head.” Being able to stand on one’s head raises many possibilities.
Others and myself had attended Danielle’s yoga sessions at our work place for over two years. We would meet at 6:50 am for a 40-minute class. In addition to getting more fit, our attitudes would be tuned up in a positive way. Each day I thanked Jesus for putting Danielle, her dedication to yoga, and excellent people skills in my life. I do miss Danielle’s sing song voice, her ever changing yoga sequences, the encouraging words, and ability to meet everyone at their readiness level. The more I think of her he more I miss her.

I've been taking yoga from Danielle for the past 2 or 3 years and her teaching made me excited to go to class. Danielle brings a sense of joy and playfulness to her teaching. Her classes are challenging, but also fun so you don't really notice you are shaking or falling over. Danielle pays attention to each student in the class, offering adjustments or noticing when you might be ready to take a pose to the next level (I didn't even know it was an option to throw a leg in the air in wheel pose--so cool!). She also pays attention to the overall tone of the group and adjusts appropriately to make everyone feel welcome. Go meet Danielle and enjoy the benefits of yoga!

After dealing with some lower back and shoulder issues my doctor suggested to try yoga as a last effort before surgery. After some hesitation, I tried yoga with Danielle. She was terrific. I started out being a bit like a bull in a china shop. Each of her classes was a little different but she also pushed us a little further. They were great workouts and I really did feel better after each class. I have tried other classes since she has let but they are not the same.

I never thought I'd be a yogi, but through Danielle's patience and super awesome teaching style, I don't know what I would do without it! When I started going to Danielle's class about four years ago, I knew very little about yoga. Since then, I have learned so much about myself and grown more confident in my ability to not only do the postures, but to apply yoga to my everyday life. Danielle's classes are always lighthearted, playful, fun, infused with giggling and good tunes. I always leave her class feeling better than when I arrived. :)

For the past 3 years, we had the pleasure of having Danielle come each week to do yoga for our program which serves 14-18 year old youth, all of whom are involved in the Juvenile Justice system, coming into our program via court order. We normally had a group size of 5-10, sometimes more, and Danielle did an amazing job of navigating our group of youth and staff through the practice of yoga. To many of our youth participants, and even some staff members, getting them to even try some of the poses was a struggle. Danielle's solid instructional style made it comfortable for those that had reservations. She was welcoming, engaging, and authentically cared for our youth, evidenced by the way she asked them questions to learn more about who they are, and how she kept them engaged in the practice. Danielle was intentional in her approach and as a result, touched the lives of many youth we have the privedge to work with. We Thank Danielle for her energy and passion for teaching and look forward to watching her do so much more good in the world.

A really un-flexible, skeptical, crabby yogi am I and yet I loved coming to Danielle's classes. I even liked breath of fire. Danielle is loaded with wisdom and emotional intelligence and it all comes through in a yoga class. Always felt better about bod and life after class. *Ahem* Danielle - you can come back anytime! I also had one glorious massage with the master Danielle Olson before she left for warmer happier climes. It was wonderful. I'd go for 80 minutes. She undercharges. Give her a big tip!
